Bill Robinson was a popular figure in the National League in the late 1960s and 1970s an outfielder with considerable power who posted a .258 lifetime batting average with 166 home runs and 641 runs batted in in 1472 games played. His best season of his 16-year career came in 1977 as he batted .304 with career highs of 26 home runs and 104 RBI for the Pirates. His stint with the Phillies in 1983 was a short one coming at the end of his career; he would later be a first base coach and hitting instructor for several teams including the Mets and Marlins and would also coach and manage in the minor leagues for the Yankees and Phillies. This attractive ring Size 10 1/2 in celestrium has a 4mm central real diamond set in a distinctive ornate mount of the National League emblem on a deep red stone and encircled by Philadelphia Phillies NL Champions. On one shank Robinson appears above a NL Centennial seal and Robinsons No. 28. 1983 is found on the other shank above a Grecian temple motif with National League Champions braced by two pennants inscribed Phillies - 3 and Dodgers - 1. This attractive ring is in Nr-Mt condition essentially in problem-free and as-issued condition and comes in an attractive black-felt presentation box.
