Featured here is a game-worn road jersey from famed left-hander Tommy John he of considerable note derived from a 26-year major league career that included 288 victories and the honor of having a pioneering surgical procedure named after him. John played for six different MLB teams during his career including the California Angels from 1982 to '85. The shown California Angels size 46 pullover road jersey is from the '83 to '85 seasons when he posted 20 victories for the Halos. It is properly tagged on the left front tail with "W.A. Goodman & Sons." The jersey which reads "Angels" across the front in red tackle twill outlined in navy blue shows good game use with only the slightest fraying of some of the black stitching on the lettering and John's uniform number "25." The iconic California Angels embroidered patch appears on the left sleeve and the bottom of the v-neck area appears torn perhaps for John's comfort while bringing the heat.
