This home white mesh gamer by Syosset Sports was worn by Bryan Trottier during the 1983-84 NHL season. Trottier began his career with the Islanders in 1975-76 and won the Calder Trophy as the Rookie of the Year. It was the beginning of a Hall of Fame career that lasted 15 seasons in New York and another three in Pittsburgh. Trottiers career accomplishments are numerous and include 524 goals 901 assists and 1425 regular season points. His playoff scoring totals are no less impressive with 71 goals 113 assists and 184 points which also rank him among the all-time elite. To his credit are four Stanley Cups with New York and another two with Pittsburgh and eight NHL All-Star game appearances. Sewn into the collar of this gamer is the Syosset manufacturer's label plus attached wash size and year flag tags. This jersey exhibits light wear most notably some stick marks on the sleeves and a couple of small tears. Trottier has added a bold black signature on the back between his numbers adding his No. 19 inscription. The Islanders' famed logo patch in red white and blue tackle twill appears on the front. His No. 19 is on the back and on the sleeves in blue on red tackle twill the same configuration for his name on the back which is sewn to a white mesh nameplate. There is some occasional fraying of some of the red or blue stitching on the team emblem his name and number on the back. A nice example from the post-dynasty era of Trottiers Hall of Fame career on Long Island.

Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum.
