Steve Garvey began his 19-year MLB career with the Los Angeles Dodgers in 1969 and blossomed into a fan favorite over his 14-year run with the team that drafted him.

His tenure with the Dodgers was a successful one, winning the N.L. MVP in 1974, NLCS MVP in 1978, and finally earning a World Series title in 1981.

 

This lot offers a 1982 Steve Garvey Los Angeles Dodgers full home uniform from his last year with the team. The WA Goodman & Sons jersey includes manufacturer tagging on the collar with "DODGERS" and "6" across the chest in single tackle twill. The rear of the jersey features "GARVEY" and "6" in blue single tackle twill as well. The pants have matching Goodman & Sons tagging, denoting size 33 and "GARVEY 22/23 82". Both the jersey and pants exhibit heavy wear from the season. Garvey racked up 176 hits with 16 home runs and 86 RBIs during the 1982 season. The 10x All-Star remains an iconic figure in L.A. Dodgers history. The uniform is accompanied by a full LOA from MEARS, which awarded the uniform a highest-possible A10 grade.
