This lot offers a Mizuno professional model game worn GOK-3 fielder's glove from Hall of Fame pitcher Gaylord Perry during his 1982 season with the Milwaukee Brewers. The glove displays evidence of light use in the pocket, face of the web, and throughout the body of the glove. Perry has autographed and inscribed the glove as being 'Game Used' by him in 1982. The inscription was placed on the glove on July 25th, 1992, as noted by Perry. Perry's Pirates number '36' on the base of the thumb sleeve in fading felt pen.

The glove is constructed of Mizuno's Custom grade tanned 'Crest Hide' steer hide bound with tanned rawhide laces and nylon stitching. The fingers are highlighted with neutral welting. Features include Mizuno's 'Multi-Hinge' construction, a 'Press Formed' Pocket, and a dual laced palm hinge with 'Flex For Fine Play' and a conventional back with an adjustable fleece-lined wrist strap. Manufacturer's labeling for this 'World Win' Professional model glove features a Mizuno wrist label and Cup Trophy logo on the back of the web with a lightly stamped Mizuno on the heel.

Perry played an incredible 22 seasons in the MLB with eight different ballclubs. He became the first pitcher to win the Cy Young award in both leagues (1972 with the Cleveland Indians and 1978 with the San Diego Padres). He also added five All-Star appearances to his highly decorated resume during his career.

The glove is accompanied by a full LOA from PSA/DNA and a letter of provenance from Gaylor Perry, himself.
