The 1982 National Baseball Hall of Fame Induction ceremony in Cooperstown included Hank Aaron, the all-time home run king at the time, as well MLB’s first African-American manager, Frank Robinson. Robinson had an Aaron-like career on the field as a player, performing at a superstar level over several decades, just as Hammerin' Hank did.

Both Aaron and Robinson have signed this sturdy pewter plate in bold blue Sharpie, complete with JSA authentication. Ironically, neither Aaron or Robinson might have been standing there in Cooperstown if not for former Commissioner of Baseball Happy Chandler, who held the office when Jackie Robinson became the first black player in the big leagues, and shared the podium with Aaron and Robinson that day in Cooperstown.

This fantastic collector’s item contains Aaron, Robinson and Chandler’s full names, positions, and career dates engraved in black, as well as fellow inductee Travis Jackson. Note that only Aaron and Robinson have signed the plate. Aaron passed away in 2021, and we lost Robinson in 2019.
