Michael Jordan’s legacy began to take shape during the 1981-82 NCAA basketball season, with the future Chicago Bulls legend leading the University of North Carolina Tar Heels to their first NCAA Basketball Tournament title since 1957. Jordan’s Tar Heels defeated Patrick Ewing and the Georgetown Hoyas 63-62 at the Louisiana Superdome, achieving the winning margin on a jumper by the freshman star Jordan that put the Heels up by one with 15 seconds left.
1981-82 University of North Carolina Tar Heels Team Signed & Inscribed Poster with Jordan & Worthy - Championship Season dates from Michael Jordan's freshman year at UNC. Includes color headshots of the entire team, players and coaches, as well as the 1981-82 schedule and other UNC data.
All fourteen players who played that year signed in overall 9/10 blue ballpoint, with twelve adding an inscription to "Eric." Jordan and Worthy both inscribed "Best Wishes to Eric." Matted and framed 30.75" x 21.25" (24" x 18" visible). Appears to have one minor surface crease near Jimmy Black, otherwise beautiful. One of the earliest Jordan autographs out there!
This would be the ultimate Jordan piece if you happened to be named Eric. Even if it’s not, you could always change your name and tell your friends that you met Michael before he was Air Jordan.
