ADDENDUM: Halward stick is game-issued.
This lot features three game-used and team-signed hockey sticks from three different NHL squads. The first stick belonged to Vancouver Canucks defenseman Doug Halward from the teams Campbell Conference Championship season from 1981-82. The Victoriaville Pro Vic stick boasts more than 25 signatures from the team in ink including Halward Greg Hanlon Richard Brodeur Lars Lindgren Blair MacDonald Thomas Gradin Stan Smyl Tony Currie Darcy Rota and Jiri Bubla. The blade area is stamped with the Canucks logo as well as the following text in black: VANCOUVER CANUCKS Campbell Conference Champions 1981 1982. It is more likely that this stick is game-issued based on the blade stamping and the lack of tape. The second stick belonged to Dale Hawerchuck from the 1989-90 season when he played in his ninth straight season for the Winnipeg Jets. The Louisville TPS (Tournament Player Series) model stick shows outstanding game use and includes up to a dozen signatures from that years squad. Most of the autographs have faded over time but some remain legible. The third and final game-used hockey stick in this lot belonged to Wayne Presley when he was playing the second half of the 1991-92 NHL season for the Buffalo Sabres. The Sher-Wood P.M.P. 5030 model stick shows good game use and includes more than a dozen signatures from that years squad. Legible signatures include Presley Grant Ledyard Jody Gage Tom Draper and Daren Puppa.
Includes Letter of Provenance from the Newport Sports Museum. Autographs pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
