During the 8th inning of Game 5 in the 1981 World Series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and New York Yankees, Ron Cey was up to bat against Goose Gossage with the Dodgers leading 2-1. 

A pitch got away from Gossage and struck Cey right in the helmet, leaving him initially motionless for several minutes. Luckily, he was able to walk off the field with assistance and return in Game 6 of the World Series, which would eventually close out the series.

This Ron Cey game used L.A. Dodgers batting helmet commemorates the moment and dons signatures and inscriptions from each ballplayer. Gossage penned his signature and included "IT WAS ONLY 96 MPH, YOU CAN'T KEEP A GOOD MAN DOWN!" along with "1981 WORLD SERIES". Ron Cey autographed the brim of the helmet and included "OUCH!". 

Based on the jokingly manner of each athlete's inscription, it appears that there is no remaining animosity regarding the moment between the two. 

The helmet has been authenticated by PSA/DNA for the signatures. A unique commemorative game used helmet from a memorable World Series moment between two iconic teams and players.
