This hobby-fresh 1980-81 Topps Larry Bird #34 (Rookie), Julius Erving Scoring Leader #174, and Magic Johnson #139 (Rookie) was recently graded SGC NM 7. 1980-81 Topps basketball is notorious for its off-centering and seemingly unavoidable print defects due to the variety of player and color arrangements. This example is very well-centered on the front with a clean white background and borders, save for a tiny black print line near the lower right corner. Color brightness and print quality remain strong on the front and back. Dr. J, Bird and Magic were the three greatest players of their era. It's only fitting that Bird and Magic, whose storied rivalry helped turn the NBA into the entertainment behemoth that it is today, should be pictured together on the same rookie card.
