Nolan Ryan threw fastballs better than he hit them if two home runs in 26 years is any indication. Because Nolan was in the AL for several years he was a victim of the DH rule which kept him from adding to his total. This Louisville Slugger bat dates from the years 1983-85 when Nolan was with the Houston Astros where he hit both of his career home runs. Nolan's first homer came against fellow Hall of Famer and 300-game winner Don Sutton on April 12 1980 the second on May 1 1987 against Charlie Puleo of the Atlanta Braves.

This 1980-83 Nolan Ryan Louisville Slugger Signature Model S44 bat features his number #34" written in black marker on the top of the knob. It remains uncracked measures 34 inches long and weighs 30 ounces. The bat exhibits expected light use with ball and ball stitch marks around the barrel. Nolan Ryan "gamers" with any degree of use are very rare.

LOA from MEARS (AUTHENTIC).
