Really nice, fresh-to-the-hobby complete set of the iconic 1980-81 Topps Baskeball issue. This significant set, which featured the first Magic Johnson and Larry Bird rookie cards to hit the market, has a distinctive perforated design with three players on each card. Because Topps used two printing sheets and changed the players around, the 264 numbered player cards broken down into 88 three-panel cards actually works out to 176 unique cards.
Some collectors couldn't help themselves and separated the three panels into three separate cards upon opening their packs. Our consignor built this set totally from scratch, pulling the majority of these out of '80-81 Topps packs. Fortunately, he had a little clairvoyance and keep the cards as issued. This set features every card in full three-panel glory. Many of the raw, factory fresh cards present in EX or better condition. We sent five of the more important cards in the set to SGC for grading. Here are the results:

Of the remaining 171 raw cards, you can get a sense of ther overall condition from the 18 card images posted. Centering and print defects have always been an issue with this set. For the most part, centering is good and printing is clean.
