Garvey held down first base for the Dodgers from 1969 through their championship seasons of the late 1970s and early 80s. This bat dates to the 1980-81 seasons in which Garvey led the league in hits (1980) and helped power the Dodgers to their fist World Championship since 1965 (1981). Garvey’s championship-era Louisville Slugger 'C263' Pro Model bat is un-cracked and shows light use. The front barrel carries several ball marks while the back barrel contains cleat impressions. Red bat rack paint streaks are visible and Garvey’s number “6” is handwritten on both ends in black marker. This great gamer has been topped off with a solid black marker signature on the barrel along with the inscription, “Best Wishes 10/80.” This bat comes with a COA from PSA/DNA for the autograph and an LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA graded GU 7.
