Joe Hassett started off the 80-81 season with the Dallas Mavericks but spent the last 24 games as a member of the Golden State Warriors. This is Hassett’s full warm-up set worn on the road during the 1980-1981 season. The jacket has “Warriors” running down the left chest in white and yellow appliqué. The collar sides bottom edge and sleeve opening are all trimmed in gold blue and white ribbing. The rare “35th Anniversary” NBA patch is sewn to the left chest and the front is closed with seven original and working snap buttons. A size 42 Medalist Sand Knit label is sewn in inside the lower front placket and has Hassett’s “#11” in faded black marker. The back of the jersey has six velcro strips used to affix Hassett’s removable name plate.
The matching blue pants are trimmed in gold white and blue ribbing. A size “32” Medalist Sand Knit label is sewn in the waist band and a Medalist/Golden State Warriors label with “11” in marker is sewn adjacent. The outside seam of the pants each have seven original and working snap buttons. The jacket and pants show light even game use with some loose threads throughout. A fine example of the Warrior’s early ’80s warmup suit complete with the one-season only 35th anniversary patch. Nice style example on Bernard King's 1981-82 Topps card.
