Offered here is Carl Yastrzemski's 1978 Boston Red Sox autographed player contract. Player contracts are a unique and tough-to-come-by offering, especially when considering Hall of Fame ballplayers. The April 14, 1978 contract offered here autographed by Yastrzemski was offered at $300,000 for a one-year contract in '79. Yastrzemski's blue fountain pen signature remains in excellent condition and grades NM-MINT in our opinion. The contract itself also remains in excellent condition. Also included is a supplemental contract signed by Yastrzemski in blue ink again with another excellent signature.
Yastrzemski, who spent his entire 23-year MLB career with the Red Sox, finished his career with a whopping 3,419 hits and 3,308 games played. He also put up .326-44-121 numbers during the 1967 MLB campaign, earning him the Triple Crown. "Yaz" was induction into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1989. The contract is accompanied by a full LOA from PSA/DNA for the autographs.
