Featured here is a classic green yellow and white Seattle SuperSonics warm-up jacket worn by 7-time All-Star Jack Sikma in during their only NBA Championship season in 1978-79. Arguably the most accurate shooting big man from that era the 6'11 Sikma averaged 15.6 points and 12.4 rebounds per game that season. He averaged a double-double over his consistent 14-year career and retired in 1991 with 17287 points and 10816 rebounds - Hall of Fame worthy stats in many eyes. His style was perhaps a few decades too early to be truly appreciated.
The front of the button-up jacket has the SuperSonics' Seattle skyline logo on the left with his jersey number "43" on the right. The "Medalist Sand-Knit" manufacturer's tag appears inside the right shirttail with a size 46 flag tag. Also included is the "Designed & Tailored Exclusively for the Seattle Supersonics" tag. The verso features his name "SIKMA" screen-printed in green with a white outline. Shows solid wear with some soiling spots but comes essentially as-issued. The jacket originated from a Seattle SuperSonics ball boy who obtained it directly from Sikma. What an awesome piece to own from the franchise that now calls Oklahoma City home.
Includes a notarized Letter of Provenance from the former Sonics ball boy's son.
