On the heels of his greatest NBA season when he averaged 31.1 points per game for the New Orleans Jazz the incomparable Pistol Pete Maravich sat down and signed a five-year contract that started with the opening of the 1977 season. The nine-page contract is in essentially as-issued condition disrupted hardly at all by the removal of staples that originally held the pages together. A marvelous black marker Maravich signature appears on the final page along with signatures from the New Orleans general manager and two witnesses.
