The 1972 disc set was distributed in cartons of Pepsi. This Pete Rose example is a pop of 4 with none graded higher according to the PSA consensus as of this write up. The glove surrounding the disc includes an option to send in $3.85 plus 20 caps or $2.85 and 80 caps to get you a personalized t-shirt of Pete Rose, Rico Carty, Joe Morgan or Rick Manning. The discs came in a variety of colors. This Pete Rose example is in MINT 9 condition according to the graders at PSA. Rose is depicted wearing his batting helmet (why wouldn't he be?) and this copy is absolutely stunning. Any serious baseball collection should include at least one high grade disc from this issue and for the Pete Rose afficianado, this is a truly rare and special find.
This lot is a part of the #2 Pete Rose Master Set in the PSA Registry and the most sought-after Pete Rose card collection to ever come to market. Bid on Lot #31 for purchase of the complete #2 Master Set (1963-1979) or lots #32-215 for individual purchase.
