The 1976 season marked one of the finest of Munson's career as the famed Yankees captain batted .302 with seventeen home runs and 105. Those numbers not only helped lead the Yankees to their first pennant in twelve years but also earned Munson the Most Valuable Player Award at season's end. This bat was used by The Captain during his prolific 1976 baseball season. You would be hard pressed to find a nicer Munson gamer. This H&B signature model S44 bat represents a rare one-year style (1976) and features the commemorative bicentennial logo stamped just to the right of the center brand. All of the stampings including Munson's facsimile signature on the barrel remain bold and distinct. A crack at the handle has been professionally repaired. Several ball marks and ball stitch marks are visible on the right left and back barrel. Cleat marks are visible front right and left barrel. Blue bat rack streaks are visible on the back barrel. A moderate coat of pine tar appears on the handle. Munsons number (15) is written on the knob end in black marker. The bat shows evidence of excellent game-use.

Includes a LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (Graded GU8.5).
