Between 1976 and 1983, the MLBPA granted licensing rights to Michael Schechter and Associates (MSA), a New York-based company, to produce a series of disc sets. The unique characteristic of these discs was the absence of team logos on the caps worn by the players in the photos. Various discs displayed four stars over the player's image, while others advertised the name of a company. The discs were produced with either blank backs or with advertisements for a variety of companies.

This lot is a part of the #2 Pete Rose Master Set in the PSA Registry and the most sought-after Pete Rose card collection to ever come to market. Bid on Lot #31 for purchase of the complete #2 Master Set (1963-1979) or lots #32-215 for individual purchase. Each lot will be sold separately unless the final bid amount of Lot #31 exceeds the final bid amount of Lots #32-215.
