George "Boomer" Scott had played six major league seasons hit .260/.328/.415 and won three Gold Gloves at first base when the Brewers acquired him as part of an eleven-player trade in October of 1971 and went on to become one of the first great power hitters in franchise history. Scott played five seasons in Milwaukee and hit 115 home runs leading the AL with 36 and 109 RBI in 1975. He was also an AL All Star in 1975 and won Gold Gloves in each of his five seasons as a Brewer. Following the 1976 season the Brewers sent Scott to Boston in a deal that brought all-time Brewer great Cecil Cooper to Milwaukee. All told Scott was a career .268/.333/.435 hitter a three-time All Star and eight-time Gold Glover. This bat was used by Scott during the 1976 baseball season. This H&B signature model K75 bat represents a rare one-year style (1976) and features the commemorative bicentennial logo stamped just to the right of the center brand. All of the stampings including Scott's facsimile signature on the barrel remain bold and distinct. Several ball marks and ball stitch marks are visible on the right left and back barrel. Cleat marks are visible front right and left barrel. A moderate coat of pine tar appears on the uncracked handle. The bat shows evidence of solid game-use overall.
