Of all the songwriting duos in Rock & Roll history perhaps no two names are as famous as "Lennon and McCartney." John Lennon and Paul McCartney have each signed this approximately 3-1/2" x 8" pink hued business check drawn on London's National Westminster Bank Limited for £32438. The document is dated May 25 1975 and made payable to Lennon himself (in an unknown hand). Both Beatles have authorized payment by signing on the appropriate lines—"Paul McCartney" in thin black felt tip and "John Lennon" in black felt tip—in their respective roles as "Director" for "Maclen (Music) Ltd." Both autographs have been assessed at the MINT 9 level by the experts at PSA/DNA. The check itself presents NM eye appeal with an unobtrusive staple hole at the upper left corner as well as standard bank stampings—not affecting the signatures.
