Here then is a jersey from one of the true journeymen from the American Basketball Association Tom Owensl who played five seasons (19711976) in the ABA and seven seasons (19761983) in the National Basketball Association as a member of the Carolina Cougars Memphis Pros Memphis Sounds Spirits of St. Louis Indiana Pacers Kentucky Colonels San Antonio Spurs Houston Rockets Portland Trail Blazers and Detroit Pistons. He scored 9898 points and grabbed 5985 rebounds in his ABA/NBA career. On the front right tail is a Rawlings size 40 manufacturers tag with washing instructions. Attached is a 6 LONGER tag. Across the front reads Kentucky. Player No. 55 appears on both the front and on the back. Across the back reads player name "Owen." All numbering and lettering are done in the same white on red tackle twill sewn directly onto the blue knit jersey. The shirt is properly tagged and shows appropriate use with minimal fraying of the white or red stitching and some puckering most notably on the No. 55 on the back.
