This lovely coin medallion was given by World Heavyweight Champion Muhammad Ali to his assistant trainer Wali Muhammad and was sourced directly from the estate of Wali Muhammad. Wali whose original name was Walter Youngblood or "Blood" was a key Ali cornerman from the first Ali-Frazier bout (1971) on. He passed away in 2012.
The commemorative medallion 3” in diameter with a long chain to wear as a necklace depicts an image of Ali on the obverse with “1974” and “World’s Heavyweight Champion” surrounded by a ring of CZ’’s. The Reverse is inscribed: “Good Luck from the Greatest Heavyweight Champion of All Time”; “Float like a butterfly sting like a bee!”; “A Legend. An Enigma! The Peoples Champion Muhammad Ali 1776—1996”. Also engraved on the back is “JWG – EVE” copyright.
