Presented here is a spectacular piece from the early years of the Cleveland Cavaliers' NBA tenure a handsome warmup suit from small forward Fred Foster from 1974-75 his final season in Cleveland and nearing the end of his 10-year NBA career. Foster averaged 6.9 ppg for the Cavaliers that season just below his lifetime mark of 7.8 ppg that he put together for five different teams between 1968-1977. The shirt and pants offer a sensational presentation with blazing gold highlighted by the wine elements of his number team logo and striping on the sleeves providing a vivid contrast. The shirt has Sand-Knit tagging at the collar and the inside section behind the bottom two snaps with Size 42 noted on the second tag. His No. 24 appears in a heavy vinyl tackle twill on the front with Cavaliers wine and gold logo opposite in the same heavy vinyl which is also used in wine color for "Cavaliers" across the back. The elastic knit sleeves and collar are accented by the wine pinstriping; the shirt and pants show game use but both are seemingly as-issued and problem free right down to the gold metal snaps on shirt and pants which are intact and show not a whisper of any chipping or scratching. The pants have the dual Sand-Knit tagging (Size 34) at the back of the waist the draw strings are present and intact. This is simply a wonderful piece from an important period in the early history of a recent expansion franchise.
