This partial set of the 1972 Icee Bear basketball issue (7 of 20 cards) includes key cards of Wilt Chamberlain and Pete Maravich, all graded PSA MINT 9. The Icee Bear set is one of the scarcest and most distinctive food-issue basketball sets of the 1970s, distributed through Icee beverage promotions. High-grade examples are exceptionally difficult to locate, as the cards' distribution method and thin stock led to high attrition rates.
The inclusion of Chamberlain and Maravich — two of basketball's most legendary figures — significantly enhances the appeal of this partial set. The other examples included are: John Havlicek, Jerry West, Oscar Robertson, Walt Frazier, and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. A rare opportunity for collectors of obscure and condition-sensitive basketball issues.
Payment for your invoice must clear in full prior to shipping. All items will be shipped from SCP Auctions’ Laguna Niguel, CA office in the order that payments are received. Please allow up to three business days following clearance of payment for items to ship. All items will be shipped UPS/FedEx Ground unless you contact us to discuss an alternative shipping method.
