The Albuquerque Dukes were a minor league baseball team based in Albuquerque, New Mexico on and off between 1915 and 2000. The Los Angeles Dodgers began what would be a 47-year relationship with the club in 1963, and changed the name to the Albuquerque Dodgers in 1965. That name would remain until 1972, when the team moved from Double-A to Triple-A and revived the Dukes name. The Dukes won the 1972 PCL Championship in their inaugural season in the league, led by future big leaguers Ron Cey, Joe Ferguson, Charlie Hough, and more. The great Tommy Lasorda managed Albuquerque to the championship. 

 

Offered is Cey's 1972 Albuquerque Dukes PCL Championship ring. The face features a blue stone surrounded by the words "PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 1972." One shank has "R. CEY" above an engraving of a player holding a bat and a baseball diamond. The other features "ALBUQUERQUE" above the Dodgers script logo. Inside band is stamped with the "BALFOUR 10K" hallmark. The size  11.5 ring weighs 23.46 grams.
