Great looking 1972-73 WHA Cleveland Crusaders string tied front jersey game worn by goalie Gerry Cheevers. Cheevers has signed the jersey on the back in 8-9/10 black felt tip pen "Gerry Cheevers #30 Cleveland Crusaders Gamer". Cheevers jumped to the upstart World Hockey Association for the 1972-73 season after being a stand out goalie for the Boston Bruins of the NHL. With the Crusaders in 1972-73 Cheevers won the Ben Hatskin Award for being the top goaltender in the WHA that season. Large purple black and white patch sewn on front featuring a knight with lance and shield. "CHEEVERS" and "30" in purple sewn on back. Jersey trimmed in purple and black. Rawlings size 50 and washing instruction tags sewn inside back tail. Jersey displays excellent use with several blood stains and a couple of team repairs at right shoulder. Great looking jersey!
Includes a Letter of Provenance from The Newport Sports Museum and a Letter of Authenticity from Gerry Cheevers.
