Acquiring cards from the 1971 Topps collection in high grade is already a challenging feat. However, discovering their O-Pee-Chee equivalents in the same pristine state verges on the improbable. A perfect example of such a rarity is the 1971 O-Pee-Chee Pete Rose card. The O-Pee-Chee cards stand out due to their unique paper stock and seemingly rougher cutting technique. Coupled with the full-bleed black borders characteristic of the 1971 series, it's an extreme rarity to uncover a near-mint card, even if it's fresh out of the pack. The Pete Rose card in question is decently centered, with fairly clean corners and near perfect print quality. PSA NM-MT 8, pop of 5 with only 2 graded higher. Great addition for any serious vintage collection.
This lot is a part of the #2 Pete Rose Master Set in the PSA Registry and the most sought-after Pete Rose card collection to ever come to market. Bid on Lot #31 for purchase of the complete #2 Master Set (1963-1979) or lots #32-215 for individual purchase.
