Versatile John Vella was an All-American offensive lineman for the USC Trojans who sometimes played defense. A 6 4 260-pound behemoth he wore No. 75 and helped Troy establish more dominance in college football during his tenure. Drafted in 1972 by the Oakland Raiders in the second round (43rd overall) Vella went on to play eight seasons (72 through 79) in Oakland and actually helped the Silver-and-Black Attack win Super Bowl XI. This is Vellas game-worn USC No. 75 jersey from the 1971 season one in which he was named an All-America selection. Inside the built-in crotch flap area is the Rawlings (size 52) manufacturers tag as well as the washing instructions right next to it. Mesh style jersey shows game use.
