The 1970 FIFA World Cup held in Mexico was the first hosted in North America and the last major tournament for Pelé in the famous Canarinho kit. The football legend went out in style, leading Brazil to its third World Cup title all coming during his historic reign with Seleção that began in 1957. Presented here is a 1970 Jules Rimet World Cup Champions miniature player trophy awarded by CBF (Confederação Brasileira de Futebol or Brazilian Football Confederation) to Brazilian center back Joel Camargo, who played for the Brazil National Team alongside Pelé from 1964-70.

Considered the greatest World Cup squad ever assembled, Brazil went a perfect 6-0 record in the tournament. They were victorious in every World Cup qualifier as well, a streak that lasted over two years. The Brazilian front five of Jairzinho, Pelé, Gérson, Tostão and Rivellino were all Number 10s for their club teams, and together they formed a relentless attack. In the World Cup Final against Italy, Brazil ran away with a 4-1 victory thanks to goals from Pelé, Gérson, Jairzinho and captain Carlos Alberto.

The lightweight gold--colored ceramic trophy stands nearly 8" (20 cm) tall and 3.25" (8.5 cm) at its widest, weight approximately 10 oz. (285 grams). “BRASIL - Tri Campeão Do Mundo” (Brazil - Three Time World Champion) is embossed in gold lettering on the blue-colored base, upon which stands Nike, Goddess of Victory, in a mini-sized, replicated version of the larger Jules Rimet trophy issued by FIFA. The very bottom contains the Brazilian manufacturer details (based in São Paulo). Comes with a 2010 letter of provenance signed by Joel Camargo, who died in 2014.
