In twenty-one seasons the flamboyant and outspoken Reggie Jackson was a winner wherever he played. Reggie took part in 11 division titles six pennants and five World Championships while playing for four different teams. He more than earned the nickname Mr. October with a .357 lifetime World Series average that was nearly 100 points above his lifetime regular-season average and the best career World Series slugging average at .755. His total of 563 HR was sixth all-time when he retired. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1993. Jackson wore this Oakland A's cap during the 1970 season. It presents in nice condition but is jostled by the stitching connecting the headband to the cap for about 10 inches moving clockwise from the right side of the bill. In addition there is the tinest loss of fabric on two tiny holes near the bill front on opposite sides near the cap seam each about 1/16th of an inch square or even less; there are also five or six mostly smaller holes toward the back right of the cap. The Sized 7 3/8 cap is a Pro KM as tagged on the back with Jackson's No. 9 hand printed "#9" adjacent to the tagging. An accompanying LOA from a personal friend of Reggie's states that this cap was originally obtained by him in person from Reggie in the Oakland A's clubhouse in 1970.
