Large 78" by 42 1/2" "Pirates 1970 National League Eastern Division Champions" banner attributed to hanging at Forbes Field. Yellow banner has black and red lettering with a large Pirates logo to the right, just above center, inside the oversize "0" in "1970". About 1/2 of the top white edge has frayed badly. In addition there are a number of light to moderate areas of staining. Near the left middle edge there is a 2" long tear with wear. The back of the banner is blank. The only markings are a pair of stamped Painters Union labels at both the top and bottom white edge.
