Baltimore Orioles legendary third baseman Brooks Robinson made his 11th consecutive American League All-Star appearance in 1970. That season, the perennial Gold Glover batted .276 with 18 homers and 94 RBI. In the Midsummer Classic, he had a pair of hits and an RBI in a narrow 5-4 defeat at the hands of the National Leaguers.

 

This Hillerich & Bradsby R178 professional model bat was used by Brooks Robinson during the 1970 All-Star Game in Cincinnati. The bat is un-cracked and shows excellent game use with ball contact marks on the left barrel and cleat marks on the back barrel. Model number “R178” is stamped into the knob. “All Star Game Cincinnati – 1970” is stamped on the barrel. The bat comes with a signed note from Brooks Robinson (slabbed PSA/DNA Authentic) confirming that he used it in the ’70 All-Star Game. John Taube of PSA/DNA has given the bat a GU 8.5 grade.
