Presented here is a 10K gold salesman's sample ring commemorating the Baltimore Colts' victory in Super Bowl V on January 17, 1971. The Colts defeated the Dallas Cowboys 16-13 in what is remembered as the "Blunder Bowl" due to a combined 11 turnovers. Despite the sloppy play, the victory was a historic moment for the Colts franchise, avenging their stunning Super Bowl III loss to Joe Namath's Jets.
The fact of the ring has a large CZ diamond at the center of the Colts' Horseshoe logo with seven small blue stones embedded and the logo itself atop a blue stone background. One shank of the ring has Johnny Unitas the Colts helmet and the score. The other has 1970 Super Bowl and the Super Bowl Trophy. Inside the band are the engravings 10K and Jostens. The size 11 ring weighs 37.34grams. A handsome piece of NFL history.
