Already an established star in the NBA at the time this his "rookie" card was produced Ohio State's John Havlicek had been a Celtics' leader for seven full seasons before the hobby was given a chance to admire the future Hall of Famer's first "Tall Boy." The superior aesthetic quality of Havlicek’s #20 entry from the 1969 Topps series is ideally represented by the offered example. Near perfect centering and flawless print are topped off by four razor sharp corners and combine for an appearance that could only be described as “vending quality.” This impossibly well preserved card is one of only 27 examples graded MINT 9 by PSA with one graded higher.
