The 1968 UCLA Men’s Basketball Team was yet another juggernaut squad of talented roundballers coached by the legendary John Wooden that crushed its competition on the way to securing the school’s fourth NCAA title during Wooden’s tenure. In fact they steamrolled the UNC Tar Heels in the National Championship 78-55.This lot features three separate items including a team-signed First Day Cover (FDC) measuring 6.5” wide by 3.75” high honoring the game of basketball. Notable signatures of the 14 scrawls include Wooden Lew Alcindor Mike Warren Lynn Shackleford and Lucius Allen. The other two pieces within this lot are unsigned but significant in their own right. The first is an official 44-page 1968 NCAA National Collegiate Championship Series program dated March 22-23 that remains in remarkable condition. The final item is a full ticket to the 1968NCAA Championship final game at the Los Angeles Sports Arena. Incredible lot boasting quality pieces from the Bruins’ momentous 1967-68 season!
