Rare 1968 World Champion Detroit Tigers road flannel jersey game-worn and signed by right-handed relief pitcher Fred Lasher. Lasher went 5-1 with a 3.33 ERA and 5 Saves in 34 games for the Tigers in 1968 during their pennant run. The journeyman spent four seasons in Detroit (1967-70) and had the lowest ERA (3.49) during that stint than any other during his career with another team. On the front tail in 7-8/10 black felt tip pen Lasher has signed his name.

The classic flannel features a dark blue "Detroit" sewn across chest of the gray jersey with Lasher's number "15" sewn on the right shoulder and on back in the same dark blue. Rawlings size 44 tag sewn in back of collar. Washing instructions and "SET 1 1968" tags sewn in front tail. Totally original jersey shows great wear with a large dirt stain in the center of the back but no signs of moth damage to the fabric. Very well-preserved and presents beautifully for the refined jersey collector!

Bruce Tennen grew up in Detroit and has been a loyal Tigers fan for over 50 years. He began attending games at Tiger Stadium in the early 1960s with his father and grandfather longtime season ticket holders and would typically don the full uniform (pictured with his dad and sister in 1968 Tigers yearbook taking photo of pitcher Pat Dobson). Bruce has attended every Tigers home playoff series since 1968 and has been fortunate enough to build relationships with dozens of players. His passion for Tigers baseball and sports eventually lead him to pursue a career in the industry covering Arizona sports teams for the AP in the late 70s and working in the front office for the San Diego Clippers in the early 80s while moonlighting as a law student. He would later move on to a successful career in mortgage banking arranging credit and acquisition funding for numerous Pistons players executives and broadcasters. There may not be a bigger supporter of Detroit sports teams than Bruce Tennen.
