Beautiful 1966 AFL vs. NFL 1st Super Bowl World Championship tie clip in excellent condition. The game was played at the Los Angeles Collesium between the Green Bay Packers and Kansas City Chiefs on January 15, 1967. This would become known as Super Bowl I. The rare tie clip features an image of the Collesium along with the text 'AFL vs. NFL', '1966'. '1st World Championship', and 'Los Angeles Collesium' on a football-shaped attachment. The rear is stamped with 'BALFOUR' and '1/10 10KGF'.
Fred Claire was a longtime member of the Dodgers front office. He was the general manager of the team from 1987 to 1998. After a dismal 1987 season, Claire built the team into a contender overnight. After acquiring players like Kirk Gibson, the Dodgers won the 1988 World Series over the heavily favored Oakland A's in just five games. A portion of the proceeds from each of Claire's items in this auction will go to the City of Hope.
