Beautiful 1967 Boston Red Sox 10K Gold American League Championship ring. The 1967 Boston Red Sox finishing with a winning record for the first time in 9 years shocked the baseball world by winning the American League Championship and reaching the World Series for the first time since 1946. After falling behind 3 games to 1 the Sox won the next 2 to set up a deciding Game 7. Jim Lonborg winner of games 2 & 5 was set to face Hall of Famer Bob Gibson winner of games 1 & 4. Lonborg pitching on short rest was knocked from the game after the 6th and Gibson pitched a masterful 3 hitter to give the Cardinals the title. Two ruby red stones on top form the Boston "B". "BOSTON RED SOX AL CHAMPIONS" circles the top. On one side is "1967" with the Red Sox logo atop a ball over crossed bats. The other has "DOYLE" with a Red Sox cap atop crossed bats with a ball in glove below. Inside stamped "BALFOUR 10K". Ring size 13. Outstanding World Series ring from one of the most popular Red Sox teams ever!
