Original player contract issued for the 1967 season in which perennial All-Star Bob Gibson helped the St. Louis Cardinals capture the World Championship. In the 1967 World Series Gibson allowed only three earned runs and 14 hits over three complete game victories (Games 1 4 and 7) the latter two marks tying Christy Mathewson's 1905 World Series record. Gibson also hit a vital home run in Game 7. The contract issued to Gibson called for a salary of $60000 and has been signed on the interior by "Robert Gibson" Cardinals GM Robert Howsam and NL President Warren Giles. Signatures rate 9-10 out of 10. Contract itself is EX-MT. Pre-certified by PSA/DNA.
