Former NFL tight end John Hilton spent five seasons competing for the Pittsburgh Steelers in the late 1960s, where he played in 66 games and recorded 108 receptions for receiving 1,494 yards. Late in his career Hilton also caught Packers Hall of Fame QB Bart Starr’s final touchdown pass of his career when he played with Green Bay during the 1970 season. Presented here the heavily coveted "Batman" style Pittsburgh Steelers game worn jersey Hilton donned during the 1966 and '67 seasons. During that span, he hauled in 46 passes for 628 yards and six touchdowns. Because of the rarity of this style, the blurry images found with him wearing it from late in the '67 season are almost certainly matches.

This black Rawlings knit (size 50) jersey includes Hilton’s uniform number “82” sewn on in white tackle twill on the front, back and on both sleeves. The sleeves are long cut down to the elbows with elbow pad stitching and the durene jersey is accented in yellow on the shoulders making a slight “V” on the chest, shoulders and back areas. The jersey exhibits excellent game use with dirt stains and scuff marks showing, especially prevalent on the numbers. The Rawlings manufacturer’s tag, the washing instructions tag and the Pittsburgh Sport Shop, inc.” tag are sewn on a black patch that has been sewn inside the crotch strap area in the front.

Includes LOA from Ron Curtis, the Pittsburgh Steelers Authentic Memorabilia Game-Used/Memorabilia Manager, along with a Steelers Authentic Memorabilia COA (#GU-103459).
