From 1963 to 1969, The Beatles created one of the most unique traditions in music history — an exclusive series of special recordings made solely for members of their Official Beatles Fan Club. These were not commercial releases. Never sold in stores, these thin vinyl flexi-discs were pressed in limited quantities and mailed directly to fan club members each Christmas season. The recordings were wholly unlike anything the public ever heard: unfiltered, personal, and genuinely joyful — filled with warm holiday greetings from John, Paul, George and Ringo, inside jokes, playful skits, spontaneous humor, short songs, parodies, and candid seasonal messages that gave fans a rare glimpse behind the curtain of the most famous band on earth. World-renowned Beatles autograph authority Frank Caiazzo — author of the definitive reference on Beatles signatures and the hobby's most respected authenticator — has issued two separate Letters of Authenticity for this record. In one LOA, Caiazzo states unequivocally that this is the only known signed Beatles Fan Club Christmas record in existence. A second LOA declares it simply: The Rarest of the Rare.

The significance of that designation cannot be overstated when you understand the autograph landscape. The vast majority of authentic, fully-signed Beatles items originated during the height of Beatlemania in 1963 and 1964. It is widely accepted among serious collectors that approximately 80% of all known four-signature Beatles pieces were obtained during those two years alone. By late 1964, the band had effectively stopped signing freely — their schedules were tightly controlled, access was almost non-existent, and Beatlemania had made spontaneous signings a near impossibility.
