Despite his "Killer" nickname Harmon Killebrew was a quiet kind man who did not take much to the partying lifestyle enjoyed by many of his peers. He became one of the American League's most feared power hitters in the 1960’s belting 40 homers in a season eight times. Harmon had his greatest season in 1969 posting leading totals in home runs (49) RBI (145) walks (145) and on-base percentage (.431) to help lead the Twins to an A.L. West Division title; it also earned him the American League’s Most Valuable Player award.

Dating to the 1965-68 labeling period this 35-inch 31.3-oz. ash bat has been graded GU 8.5 by PSA/DNA and shows excellent use. The barrel contains several ball marks and ball stitch marks as well as bat rack marks and cleat impressions. The handle has been covered with a heavy coat of pine tar (a characteristic of many Killebrew bats) and the knob features a large "3" (his uniform No.) and a small "2" (?) in black marker. LOA from John Taube of PSA/DNA (GU 8.5).
