ADDENDUM: Wayne Graham wore #4 in 1964; Ron Swoboda wore #14 in 1965 as a rookie and then switched to #4 in 1966. This is most likely Grahama's jersey from '64 that was later signed by Swoboda. It is unknown if Swoboda ever wore it during a game. Minimum bid has been adjusted accordingly.
Offered here is a 1964 New York Mets road jersey worn by utility man Wayne Graham during his only season with the team. Graham was part of a long line of third basemen who played briefly for the New York Mets during their early expansion years. His vintage flannel button-down jersey has "NEW YORK" across the front in blue felt on orange tackle twill. The number "4" appears front and back in the same format. There is a Mets patch on the left sleeve. The New York World's Fair patch has been removed from the right sleeve; otherwise everything else is all-original. Wilson size 40 and "1964" tags are sewn on the left front tail. Although believed to have been worn by Wayne Graham the jersey is autographed on the front by Mets outfielder Ron Swoboda who wore number 4 from 1966-70 including when the Miracle Mets became World Series Champions in '69. Jersey shows solid use with light soiling and sweat staining at the collar and no moth damage. Part of the late Delbert Mickel's renowned jersey collection.
