This is a spectacular item albeit one that tempers its pristine qualities with the lingering anguish of hopes and aspirations cruelly dashed almost a half century ago. The 29-inch National League Champions Phillies pennant from 1964 displays almost everything a collector could hope for: immaculate condition blazing bright colors and crisp graphic elements right down to the unmolested tassels and razor-sharp point at the tip. Everything that is except the National League Pennant in 1964 which somehow eluded them. The "phantom" pennant is simply an astounding piece in terms of its condition and its ability to engender a certain angst; the second element is three uncut ticket sheets from the "phantom" World Series tickets prematurely produced in late September before the uh demise. The sheets (four full tickets on each) are from the Upper and Lower Stand Box seats and the Bleachers and are in the same sterling untouched condition (Ex-Mt to Nr-Mt) as their felt counterpart.
