We'll state this without qualifier: this is the cutest game-worn MLB uniform we've ever encountered an absolute masterpiece worn by the young son of former Major League pitcher Don Lee at a Father's & Sons Day at Chavez Ravine in 1964. An 8-by-10-inch photo accompanies the jersey pants cap and socks and shows Bill Lee all of 1 ½ years old at bat wearing the uniform with the assistance of his dad Don a member of the Angels at the time. The wool jersey as noted is an absolute hoot in simply superb condition 13 inches from the back of the collar to the bottom of the waist. "Angels" is across the front of the chest in red-and-black felt and the same configuration is used for his No. 48 on the back. The famed McAuliffe labeling is affixed to the back of the collar with adjacent embroidered flag tag with "64" in red. Both the shirt and the accompanying pants have red-and-black piping at the collar and sleeves and down each leg; the same McAuliffe tagging appears at the back of the waist of the pants which are a full 16 inches in length from the waist to the elastic at the bottom of the pants leg. The tiny silver zipper is intact and in working order and all elements of the shirt and pants appear largely as-issued and problem free showing use but remaining in stunning condition for all these years. The tiny cap is in matching condition with "LA" embroidered in white and red at the front and the Angel's "halo" in white thread embroidery at the top revealing only a tiny bit of fraying at the connection towards the back of the cap. The matching navy blue stirrup socks draw giggles as well 18 inches long and in wonderful shape but likely a good deal longer than one might typically find socks on baseball players. As noted the full uniform shows use but remains largely pristine and comes with a marvelous photo for additional provenance. Some lucky toddler is going to find the coolest 50-year-old Christmas present that any aspiring young baseball fan could hope for or even imagine.
