Ken Boyer was an elite Major League Baseball third baseman and manager, widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of the St. Louis Cardinals. Over a 15-year playing career spanning from 1955 to 1969, Boyer won the 1964 National League MVP, captured five Gold Glove Awards, and was selected to 11 All-Star Games. Known for his rare blend of power, precise defense, and quiet leadership, he served as the St. Louis Cardinals captain from 1959 to 1965.
This Ken Boyer St. Louis Cardinals game-worn home jersey hails from his magical 1964 season in which he won the NL MVP and helped lead his beloved Cards to a World Series championship. The cream-colored flannel has the familiar two-birds-on-a-bat "Cardinals" script and a red "14" on the front chest. The back carries an arched "BOYER" nameplate above a matching "14," both rendered in red felt with navy outline stitching. The interior collar tag reads "Rawlings, Action-Tailored, 44, Made in U.S.A.," with "Boyer 64" hand-embroidered in red script directly below the label, confirming player and season.
The jersey shows scattered surface toning, including light discoloration near the underarms typical of game-worn flannels from this era, with all original lettering, numbering, and tagging fully intact. A clearly identified, manufacturer-tagged home jersey from Boyer's playing days with the Cardinals, presenting honest wear consistent with its game-used history. Includes letter from MEARS graded a near-perfect A9.5.
