This 1963 Topps #540 Roberto Clemente has been graded PSA NM-MT 8. Card #540 falls within the high-number series of the 1963 Topps set, a print run that was distributed in smaller quantities than the set's earlier series and is consequently scarcer in high grade across the board. A PSA 8 designation reflects a card with strong centering, sharp corners showing only the faintest softness, and clean surfaces with full original gloss and color, free of any creasing or significant print defects. Given the well-documented scarcity of high-number 1963 Topps cards in top condition, an NM-MT 8 example of this Clemente card represents a notably strong survivor from a series where even modest condition issues are common, making this a desirable upper-tier copy for vintage Pirates and Clemente collectors.
