1963 Milwaukee Braves gray road flannel jersey game worn and signed by long time Braves starting pitcher Tony Cloninger. Cloninger has signed across the right chest "Tony Cloninger #40" in near perfect 9/10 looking black felt tip pen. Cloninger went 9-11 in 41 games with a 3.78 ERA in 1963 for Milwaukee. Over his 8 years with the Braves he won 86 against 62 losses with a 3.94 ERA but he is most remembered as the first player in National League history to belt 2 Grand Slams in one game a feat he accomplished during a July 3 1966 game against the San Francisco Giants. "Braves" and "40" in red with blue tackle twill sewn across the chest. Large "40" sewn on back in the same red with blue tackle twill. Iconic screaming brave logo sewn on left sleeve. MacGregor size 44 MacGregor SET 2 1963< and "CLONINGER" tags all sewn in back of collar. Jersey displays moderate game use and is completely original with the following exception - the "CLONINGER" lettering has been removed from above the number on the back.
